STEP 1

INITIAL MEETING

What Happens During Your First Consultation

The initial meeting is where your custom home journey officially begins.

The initial meeting is your chance to share your vision, preferences, and questions — and our chance to listen. Whether in person or virtual, we take the time to understand your goals, lifestyle needs, and design priorities. We walk you through how our process works, introduce key members of our team, and explain what to expect. It’s a pressure-free conversation focused on connection and clarity, not contracts.

Turning Ideas Into a Real Plan

Many clients come to us with inspiration but no formal plans — and that’s perfectly okay. During this step, we help organize your ideas into something actionable. From your preferred layout and must-have features to the feel of the space and how you plan to use it daily, we work together to shape a rough outline of your ideal home. We also help you think through land use, local codes, and how your ideas fit within your projected budget.

Discussing Budget, Timeline & Expectations

We don’t believe in surprises — so we’re upfront about timelines, budget ranges, and what’s realistic for your project. During the first meeting, we’ll ask about your financial comfort zone and introduce you to how we approach budgeting with full transparency. We’ll also outline how long each phase of the process typically takes, from design and permitting to the build itself. The goal is to make sure we’re aligned from day one.

Building Trust From the Start

We treat this meeting as the beginning of a relationship — not a sales pitch. You’ll speak directly with experienced team members, not middlemen or pushy reps. We aim to educate and empower, providing honest answers, explaining potential roadblocks, and offering professional guidance based on decades of experience. You can expect candid conversation and practical advice, not vague promises.

Preparing for What Comes Next

After this meeting, we’ll provide clear next steps tailored to where you are in the process. If you already own land, we may schedule a site visit. If you’re still dreaming, we might introduce you to design partners or financing resources. Regardless of where you’re starting, you’ll leave this step knowing what comes next and how we’ll support you through it.
